2018 Boys State Meet Last Minute Reminders

As we get ready for the Boys State Meet (BSM), we wanted to remind you of some general procedures and tips to make sure the BSM is not only a success for our gymnasts, but also for all our volunteers.

* We are asking all volunteers to wear grey OGBC Volunteer shirts.  If you have one from a past meet please wear it.  We will have about 130 shirts in various sizes for those who do not have a grey volunteer shirt.

* For the Set Up and Tear Down Sessions, we have included a Tip Sheet to help these sessions run smoothly and comfortably for everyone. Please read this document, it provides important information that you will need to know before coming to these shifts.

* Sign in will be at the main entrance of O`Rena.

* You must stay for your entire shift. Your shift ends when your replacement comes.

* Phones are not allowed on the floor. Our focus needs to stay on the job assigned, even if there is some down time.

Thank you so much for everyone’s help in preparing for this weekend. We hope that even though you will be working, you enjoy your time with the OGBC community. We are representing Olympia and we ask that you keep a positive attitude the entire weekend. We welcome suggestions and criticism after the meet, but want to provide a fun and enjoyable experience for everyone. A smile and positive attitude makes a big difference!

Remember: Hosting a state meet is a great way to promote Olympia Gymnastics and expand our reputation in the gymnastics community.  Let’s work together to provide all the boy gymnasts and their families throughout the state of Michigan a memorable experience.

If you have any questions, please contact Vince Gigliotti, at 248-302-5720.

Again, thank you for all your hard work – and best of luck to all the OGA gymnasts!
