MESSAGE FROM MAY 23RD:

Unfortunately, we will not be able to gather for a banquet this year. However, we hope you are still available for an event on June 2nd!

On June 2nd Team Olympia would like to host a parade on Danview Technology drive. This will allow our athletes to show some team spirit with decorated cars, noise makers, posters, and bubbles. The parade will also allow us to show our support for our Graduating Seniors Austin Kosanke, Carly Aceves, Annabelle Holliday, Naomi German, and Tara Walsh!

How it will work: Cars are to arrive 6:30-6:50. The parade will start promptly at 7pm. We will make use of parking lots along Danview Technology to maintain traffic and avoid backups on 23 Mile road. Cars that are waiting in parking lots will be zippered into the parade. The parade will pass through the Olympia parking lot where our GRADUATING SENIORS WILL BE (on the passenger side of your vehicles). The lead car will be at the SE corner of Danview Technology and W Star drive. Cars will pass trough the Olympia parking lot and exit via the back of the parking lot to turn left On W Star drive and exit to Schoenherr. We ask that you ONLY turn right onto Schoenherr (even if you prefer to turn Left) to avoid back-ups on W. Star drive. Please, no Left turns onto Schoenherr. Please do not attempt to exit via Danview Technology drive. We will have board members wearing red at designated spots to manage traffic.

LETS MAKE THIS FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some ideas: Decorate your cars, make posters, bring noise makers, blow bubbles out your car windows &Rock the Red! Be sure to post pictures of your parade vehicles on social media!

HONORING & SUPPORTING TEAM OLYMPIA SENIORS

OUR SENIORS WILL BE ON PODIUMS IN FRONT OF THE OLYMPIA BUILDING. They will have a basket for small gifts and a bucket for flowers in the parking space in front of them. If you would like to offer a small gift( examples: candy, 1-3 stems of flowers, $5 Gift Card) for each of the seniors you are welcome to do so. No balloons please. Gifts need to be small and transportable. See lists of the Seniors favorite candy &such below. OGBC will also have a gift for our departing Seniors.

Important directions if you are offering gifts:

1. Your athlete should be on the passenger side of the vehicle.

2. Once they enter the Olympia parking lot (before the parking spots begin), your athlete will step out of the vehicle. If they have a gift for all five Seniors, they should make sure they have all 5 gifts in hand when they get out of the car.

3. Your athlete will walk along side your vehicle to deliver the gifts INTO THE BASKETS (please do not try to hand them to the seniors). * Parents of young children should deliver the gifts while your child remains in the car.

4. Once you have turned right to exit through the back, you will stop to let your athlete back in your vehicle.

Level 9 & 10's: There will be a small ceremony for the seniors after the parade. We ask that if you wish to stay to hear speeches that you park after you pass the seniors. You can park on the N side of the building, in the back of Olympia, or on W. Star drive. Once the parade is over, you can either park in front or walk to a spot on the grass while maintaining 6ft apart. We will have the sound system available so that you can spread out and still hear the senior speeches. You are encouraged to wear masks if you intend to exit your car. *All levels will still receive the video of the years highlights and senior speeches at a later time.
