Dear OGBC Members,
We would like to extend our sincerest thanks and gratitude to all of you who helped AWC 2023 be such an amazing success. Our board was committed to providing a great experience for all of our athletes, their families and friends, coaches, and judges while creating the best conditions for all of you to enjoy the meet.
Below are some of the highlights....
1. Set Up was quick and completed in under 4 hours
2. Tear Down was finished by 6:00 pm
3. Our first year of only accepting virtual tickets through Ticket Spicket was a great success with 3,876 tickets sold
4. Visitors, competitors, and judges were complimentary of our hospitality, the organization of the meet, and how smoothly the meet ran
5. As a bonus we learned that OGA's got talent when coach Rachel opened the weekend with her beautiful voice singing the National Anthem
Personally, I enjoyed watching all of the amazing athletes we had the pleasure of hosting this past weekend. During the competition they all smiled while performing and seemed to truly be enjoying the sport of gymnastics.
As a board, our expectations were to create a memorable event that was an inclusive environment where we could celebrate competitive gymnastics together. In my opinion, we accomplished this goal and then some.
Thank you again for coming together to ROCK the RED! It was an amazing Athlete Warrior Challenge 2023. We look forward to doing it again in 2024!
